SlideShowPro Account Center: User Forums / Slideshow very slow to load

I'm using SSP director through Lightroom and the loading on my site takes about 45 seconds. It is just the blank screen until then, most viewers would leave after just a few seconds of nothing so this is a huge problem.

Any ideas why so slow, how to speed it up?

I have the same problem. It's my biggest issue with SSP and is the reason I'm looking for an alternative.

I just went to your site and all but one of the galleries loaded in 2-4 seconds. Just the golf one took about 9.

I just did the apple store thing and took a lot of startup items off and some other maintenance and it's running much faster.

It's only the first time of the day that's it's slow to load. Has something to do with how SSP builds thumbnails on a daily basis (or something like that) Once I open the site for a day everything runs smoothly, even switching between browsers.

I am having loading problems as well. Even when all I am using is a basic html page that load the embed code. The slideshow is just so slow. Example: http://www.jilienestoryphotography.com/client1.html

The first time I tried to visit your site, no images loaded. I closed and tried again and it started to display. Loading each image took several seconds after the display timer was done.

I was wondering if the size of image on the server matters at all?

The mobile version of your slideshow seems to be loading pretty quickly over wifi. The only time the size of the images matters is if you code the page to force load original images instead of the optimized images. That information is available on the ssp site.

I too have the same problem. I love SSP but this is also been a point of contention for me and users. I looked through the troubleshooting guide, How to, and tips but could find nothing specific to changing the way images load (force load original instead o optimized). If someone could point me to it I would greatly appreciate it.
