Help: 100% width & height and fullscreen

Hello all!

I'm designing my wife's website and purchased SSP and Director to help me out. Amazing tool!

Now I came up with a problem: I want the site to resize if the browser window is resized and also to go fullscreen with the entire site, not just SSP.

On my FLA I have SSP inside a movieclip just like any other elements of the site. I create a separate fullscreen button which works fine apart from SSP going wild and huge. I have no idea why.

Here's the link: http://www.chryscampos.com/home_chrys.html

Resuming: I need to use Flash 100% width/height being resized and use a "normal" fullscreen button to enable me to use my menus AND SPP while fullscreen.

I really appreciate your help,

Thanks

Take a look at the home page of swfobject - http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/

And view the source code for this example - http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/fullpage.html

Re: Help: 100% width & height and fullscreen

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply.

But it's not quite what I need. I can do the 100% width and height, but SSP doesn't scale itself and when you go fullscreen it gets really weird!

Have a look again: http://www.chryscampos.com/home_chrys.html

Question: Can SSP be rescaled as the window is rescaled? And why it gets crazy when I go fullscreen.

Thanks!!

Re: Help: 100% width & height and fullscreen

SSP is not designed to change scale on window resize.
As for the craziness at fullscreen, check this thread: http://forums.slideshowpro.net/viewtopic.php?id=7367

Re: Help: 100% width & height and fullscreen

Thanks Antonio.

I will suggest scaling to a new version. It would be a huge feature.

I did manage to have some success with the ssp inside MC topic. BUT I don't know why my SSP is increasing it's size even without the Noscale both in Flash and the HTML

Take a look here: http://www.chryscampos.com/home_chrys.html

Thank you

Re: Help: 100% width & height and fullscreen

Right....trial and error still going.

Scaling is fine now. BUT SSP takes over the whole screen covering my logo and menus. Why?

I need the site to look exactly how it looks at normal screen, why SSP takes over? Is there a way to stop this?

Thank you

Re: Help: 100% width & height and fullscreen

Stop SSP from taking it's own measurements at fullscreeen?  Is that what you were referencing in your last post.

What scaling method worked for you on the normal stage?  I setup my background JPEG to scale to window size and coudln't get SSP to scale normally after that.  If I take out the background image, I can scale SSP.  I'll post my snippets when I'm awake again.

Re: Help: 100% width & height and fullscreen

In the page I'm working on currently, I was able to get 100% "container element," and in fact, resizing the browser resizes my ssp.  Link to sample at the bottom of this post.

I'm using SWFObject, passing in 100%'s which mean 100% container element.  The key here was to make the container element (whose contents get replaced with an embeded swf by SWFObject) tall enough by css to make a difference while resizing.  The problem I'm facing, however, is that when the browser size is too small, there is a big whitespace gap (filled with empty swf) which fills the fixed "minimum height" of the container div:

Code:

<div id="slideshow1" class="slideshow"><p>This site uses Flash ...</p></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var so = new SWFObject("slideshow-ssp-450x175.swf", "slideshow", "100%", "100%", "7", "#ffffff");
so.addVariable("xmlfile", "ss-front-1.xml");
so.addParam("wmode", "transparent");
so.write("slideshow1");
</script>

Code:

.slideshow {
text-align: center;
padding: 0.25em;
height: 400px;
}

At the time of posting, this configuration can be viewed (and stretched and shrunk) at http://www.canadasbest.us/
Do you see it stretching/shrinking with the browser resize?

@electroduo: the resizing on your site looks great. Are you happy to share your code on how you do this with Slideshowpro?
