I am a little late in implementing this feature to Director, but am preparing my galleries for 2011 using the watermark feature. Obviously the images will no longer contain a copyright notice on them as the watermark will perform this function automatically.

How can I have the watermark inserted onto the image selected in the plugin? I am presuming that the watermark will not be used in the blog plugin as it is in Director. If it does not pull this in and there is no way to insert in the plugin, then clearly I will have to create an image separately for use in blog posts, so the plugin will be redundant?

It will not at the moment, but I will add this as a feature request.

The ability to use either the same watermark as album, or a different watermark, would be great. I would prefer a different one for the blog posts where our big issue is download theft than in Director, where the issue is screenshots.
I appreciate you adding it as a FR. Any idea if it will be able to be added soon? We have so many infringements that I can't afford an image on there without.

I would love to give you a time frame, but I do not make the decisions. I'm sure it will be announced when and if we do add it though.

I am wondering if the way to make it work in Lightroom plugin is to create a new export preset to upload directly to the chosen album an image incorporating the watermark, then making that image inactive for the album itself. Just access it for the blog post. Will that work, if the image is inactive in the album?

I don't think it will, I am still looking into incorporating this, it has not been forgotten.

Oh well, it was a thought. I imagine that you guys are pretty busy and if it had worked it would have given you a bit of time to work out the incorporation of it into the plugin.

I hadn't had a chance to try it out as our new galleries don't begin until March.
