IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING SLIDESHOWPRO PLAYER SWF (6/28/2011)

As of June 28, 2011, SlideShowPro is no longer selling or supporting the SlidePress plugin or SlideShowPro Player SWF.

This was an extremely difficult decision for us to make, and one we did not take lightly. But at the end of the day it was the best move for us and our customers.

Here's why.

The bundling of the SlideShowPro Player in SlideShowPro Director has proven to be a very popular move. So popular in fact, SlideShowPro Director has nearly cannibalized all sales of SlideShowPro Player SWF. The slideshow published by SlideShowPro Director can be customized just the same as the SlideShowPro Player SWF, *and* provide content management and mobile fallback for iOS and Android. It's simply a better product that satisfies customers far more than just the SWF itself.

As for SlidePress, the free plugin was initially developed as a means for WordPress publishers to embed the SlideShowPro Player easily and with minimal hassle. This was before we offered slideshow publishing in SlideShowPro Director. Now SlideShowPro Director users can simply copy/paste embed code into their WordPress blog posts to create slideshows that are dynamic, universally accessible (desktop, iOS, Android), and easier to handle than the SlidePress plugin with SlideShowPro Player SWF.

We realize this won't make some users happy, and for that we apologize. We don't like change either, but from a product and business perspective we felt it was the right direction for us and our community going forward.
