I have tested the FTP transfer and i can upload a small number of images without incident. (so far 8) 12 images causes it to crash lightroom. The Images have been uploaded previously without problem. It appears there is a problem with the watermarking. I have just tested it again with watermarking turned off and it has worked. It appears that whether I do it as a PNG or simple text it crashes. This did not happen with previous version.

This is a bug in Lightroom, as far as we can tell. We've let Adobe know about it. You are not the only one (just one of the few
).
I've never been able to re-create this, so take the following advice with a grain of salt:
* different font w/ a text watermark
* different image type (png or jpg)
* make the watermark image smaller (in file size)
* try exporting to you computer and then FTP'ing to your website (instead of the "Upload" button)

Thanks Tim, I will give it a try.

I have the exact same issue. I have tried smaller jpegs and png. Without watermarking it works just fine. I am using it on a Mac.

I am having the same issue using Lightroom 4 (4.1). I am not using watermarking and i have only 8 image in my gallery so that should not be the issue. I am on a Windows 7 machine using the 64 bit option for Lightroom. Help please!

So you are basically saying that your product is unusable unless Adobe makes a change? I have the latest version of Lightroom 4 (64 bit) and of Slideshow Pro for Lightroom. I posted this issue 2 months ago and it still crashes Lightroom whenever I try to export or upload. This is the whole reason why I bought your product.
Please can you provide some assistance now?

I did just figure it out. It crashes if i try to use a user template that i created using Lightroom 3. I am trying to add a new gallery to my website using the same template i have used in the past to insure that the look and feel is consistent with my other pages. I am able to Export and Upload as long as I am using a new template that I created in LR4 vs. one created in LR3. I do keep getting the message: "check XML path and type" often after i make my changes but if i make the change again, it goes away.

I'm having the same issue. If I have a watermark (even if just text only), everything crashes when trying to Upload. Once I take the watermark off, it uploads fine. What am I missing, or am I doing something wrong here?
