Hi, im using SSP, SSP director and thumbgrid. I have one problem, one.. question.
1st issue, is that if i choose the command "SSP - Create fixed thumbgrid size", i get an error, "Component with an instance name of 'my_tg' not found.. ", even when i have created an instance name of 'my_tg' in the properties section.... that is somewhat of a no-brainer, as there is nothing else i can edit!
Im using AS3, CS4, Mac.
The other is... a question.
Do i get correctly that... if using thumbgrid with director..... the thumbs will only be parsed from the image data in the album.. ? I have a client and they want differnet coloured squares for thumbs sometimes... so basically, i have to choose between:
1. a manual xml file and manually created thumbs (but no director)
2. director.. and automatically created thumbs.
...which.. is sad, because I really want them to have control via director of their own content.. not me! (sigh)
it would be great if director had the capacity to edit thumbs too.. (request).
cheers for any help / comments.
angus.

Hi -
There's a bug in Flash's jsfl language whereby it sometimes can't find component instances. That's likely causing the script failure here. In these cases copy the component instance, paste it into a new FLA, then run the command again. Should be able to find it then.
As for the 'different colored squares', I assume you're talking about the background color of each thumb? If so, you can edit that independently and load the same data from Director in different SWFs. The thumb images themselves would be the same between each, right?
