I just created my first gallery with SlidePress and everything seems to be working except for the thumbnails. Instead of images, it's just a bunch of tiny grey squares (white when hovered over). Did I miss a step? I thought these would be automatically generated.
gallery is located at: http://www.racysteeves.com/?page_id=9 (Page is potentially NSFW)

This is a known bug in 1.3.1 and will be fixed in the upcoming release.
Thanks for reporting.
So when should I expect that release? And is there no way to get thumbnails to work on Wordpress sites until then?
The thumbnails are created, but because your original images have the extension .JPG (instead of lowercase .jpg), the plugin doesn't recognize that. If you upload your images with lowercase extension, you won't encounter any problems creating thumbnails at all.
Is that true for png too?
I have tried to use images with the lowercase jpg and it still produces the same result - ie small grey blocks a few pixels high. Any update or workaround?
BTW do you put the full URL of the image uploaded to wordpress as the thumbnail in the 'mypreviewurl' for
[slidepress thickbox='gallery id' title='mytitle' image='mypreviewurl']
Is this the file you are referencing when you mention JPG versus fpg, or are you talking about a file loaded up into Director?
Sorry for the confusion. So, if your original images have the JPG extension (uppercase), the thumbnails created by SlidePress will have lowercase extension no matter what (.jpg). However, when the xml file containing the urls to the thumbnails is created, this xml file uses the urls that point to the uppercase extension. For example, here's the URL of a thumbnail that SlidePress was trying to get:
http://www.racysteeves.com/wp-content/u … -thumb.JPG
But SlidePress created the thumbnails using lowercase extension, so the URL should have been:
http://www.racysteeves.com/wp-content/u … -thumb.jpg
This is definitely a bug, and it will be fixed in the next release (which we believe will be ready very soon). But if you can't wait till then, you'll have to rename your images to lowercase extension (jpg), then re-upload these images to your WordPress gallery, and go to SlidePress->Manage Gallery, choose your gallery, finally click Update Gallery to update the thumbnails.
About the thickbox question, yes, that will be the URL to the preview image. You won't have to worry about the extension for this one.
I hope I made myself clear on this bug. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
