Images not appearing when using the Wordpress post interface

I'm using the Wordpress post interface because there will be multiple newbie contributors to this blog and I need something easy for them to use, but so far I can't get any images to appear in the slideshow.

The (empty) swf is appearing, so I'm assuming it's not a Flash problem. I've tried adding the images to the post first, then defining the slideshow gallery, and I've tried defining the gallery and then adding images to the post, but still no working slideshow.

Slidepress is 1.3.7, my standalone swf is from 12/22/08, and I'm using Wordpress MU 2.8.2.

Here's my test post:

(Sorry for using the short url, but the blog doesn't go live until next week and if possible, I don't want it indexed.)

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Re: Images not appearing when using the Wordpress post interface

Yeah, I ended up having all the same issues and finally had to completely wipe out the existing installation of wordpress that I HAD INSTALLED VIA SOFTACULOUS... rather than Fantastico (that's what I usually use at my MidPhase hosting accts)... once I did that and reinstalled via Fantastico, all worked as expected using exactly the same custom layout markup etc in my "theme". Of course, I didn't import any of the database table content but since I hadn't done much in it, it was fairly easy to rebuild. Seems it is some sort of permissions issue caused by Softaculous. Don't know if that relates to your issue, but after much head-banging, that's what it turned out to be for mine.

Now I have the slideshows showing up in their pages (sub-pages) but I still cannot get thickbox to work when generating a link via the template tag for thickbox (even though it is enabled) from another page. In fact, if I use the shortcode for the slideshow with thickbox in the ACTUAL page for that slideshow, it still doesn't work.

I usually have an easy time with the combo of slidepress+ssp standalone+wordpress, but the latest in all of these seems kinda funky.
